Miguel Cerrolaza

M.Sc. in Civil Engineering by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Ph.D. in Engineering by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain). PostDoc by the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussess (Paris, France). Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, ​​Spain) and the Valencian International University (Valencia, Spain). Research Engineer invited by the Colorado School of Mines (USA). More than 30 years of experience, assessing companies and engineers in advanced numerical simulation in engineering, biomedical engineering, applied physics & mathematics by using finite elements and other numerical methods. He has provided services and specialized consultancies to many engineering companies around the world in several countries (Italy, Spain, France, Colombia, USA, Argentina, Venezuela, etc.) in advanced computer modeling and finite element simulation. He has written 20 books, dozens of articles in scientific journals and has delivered 40 invited lectures around the world.

Manuel Martín

Architect by the University of Sevilla (Spain), specialist in building and industrial structures analysis and design, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Earthquake ultimate capacity resistance on concrete rib slabs at the University of Girona (Spain). He is Associate Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Construction of the same university. He is also a Judicial Technical Expert, member of the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC), member of the Association of Structural Consultants (ACE, Spain) and member of the Association of Expert Architects, Forensics and Mediators (AAEPFMC, Spain). He has a long professional career with more than 26 years of experience in analysis and design of civil building structures. Specialist in 3D parametric modeling and analysis and design of mechanical parts using the Finite Element method. He has provided consultancy services to companies in Spain located in Girona, Barcelona, Madrid, on finite element modeling and analysis of structures and structural parts.
